Carl E. DuBois has been very active in his first term as your Orange County Sheriff.
He has personally participated in crime sweeps, emergency services operations, marine patrol on the Hudson River, bike patrol on the Heritage Trail, and other details covered by the Sheriff's Office. The sheriff also oversees a recently built 400,000-square-foot, 778-bed correctional facility, as well as Investigations, K-9, and Narcotics Task Force.
Sheriff DuBois has also served as chair and co-chair of the Zone 4 Counter-Terrorism Task Force and serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Sheriffs' Association.
Orange County is the fastest-growing county in New York state, and has a population of 350,000 and an area of 835 square miles. Sheriff DuBois continues in major accomplishments and goals by bringing the Sheriff's Office into the 21st Century.
